Wild Ember Fire Defense was founded by a group of off-duty wildland firefighters who’ve spent their careers on the front lines of wildfires across the country. With more than 60 combined years of experience in wildland fire, structural fire, and emergency response, our team has seen firsthand how homes ignite, and what it actually takes to protect them. Our approach is grounded, human, and honest. We don’t use scare tactics or push services you don’t need. We walk your property, explain what we see, and help you make informed decisions about how to protect your home, at a pace that works for you.

We started Fire Ready Exteriors to bring a lifetime of experience—forestry, construction, and geospatial technology—home to Boulder County. After building homes in the foothills and leading global Earth observation programs, we saw a way to make a real difference right here: helping homeowners prepare for wildfire with confidence.
Let's make your home wildfire ready.

At Edelweiss Mountain Resilience, we combine front-line fire experience with precision craftsmanship to harden homes and improve land resilience across Boulder County. Founded by Zach—a Sunshine Canyon resident, local volunteer firefighter, wildland firefighter dispatched nationally, sculptor, and designer—we bring an honest, hands-on approach to protecting mountain properties. Accompanied on-site by Edel, his loyal mountain dog, Zach works directly with homeowners to build lasting safety and safeguard our mountain way of life.
